We're passionate about our client's projects and campaigns and endeavour to build relationships that are more collaborative in their approach. We offer a relaxed and open way of working together and will be up-front about what you can expect from us during the entire collaborative process. We aim to begin each job with a friendly introduction and discussion together at no charge to you, either in person or via Skype, in order to learn all that we can about your organisation's strategies, as well as to better understand how you think.
The terms and conditions below form part of the contract you enter into when you engage alike creative. as consultants for your project. Please read them carefully, and let us know if you have any questions.
In these terms and conditions ‘you’ is the client, it’s employees and agents, and ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ is alike creative, its employees and agents.
Initial estimate and project approval
Once we have had an initial discussion and the project agreement and fee estimate has been approved by you, we’ll send you an invoice for 50% of our estimate. This payment is not refundable and is due immediately. Work will not commence until payment is made. alike creative. will assume no responsibility for any adjustments made to the estimated timeline or deadline that result from late payment.
The project, depending on size, will be broken up into stages of 'deliverables'. The amount owing on each stage will be invoiced upon completion of each stage. Payment in full is to be made within 14 days of the date of invoice.
Our costs are estimated to cover the agreed scope outlined within the original estimate only. We reserve the right to re-estimate any part of the project at any time if, having already received the project brief and all necessary working elements, alike creative. determines the scope of the project has been altered from the originally agreed upon outline. Each stage of work and it’s associated fees allows for three rounds of amendments. Additional amendments may incur a fee.
Time frames
As we often work remotely across different time zones, we always do our
very best to be available to you, no matter where you are based. We'll discuss with you early within the project how best to work together based on time zones and availability. We do our best to be very flexible with our time, but also need to be realistic about locations and hours. We have never had any issue with delivery of work or maintaining regular contact when working across different time zones and continents.
We’ll endeavour to deliver all work by the agreed deadline or before. We pride ourselves on being able to manage our time well and work quickly, whilst always taking care with our work. However, circumstances beyond our control may prevent us from getting work to you on time. We’ll always inform you within two business days if any such emergency events happen.
Unless we agree otherwise, you will be required to provide feedback or information within seven business days.
We’ll allocate time to work on the project for the periods indicated for each stage of the project plan. If we're unable to complete work at these times because we have not received information from you, we'll continue the project at the next opportunity. This may affect the overall project delivery time.
If a response or information from you is delayed by more than 21 business days, we may consider the project complete and invoice you for all work completed up to that date.
Payment
Please pay on time.
Invoices must be paid within 14 calendar days of invoice date unless we negotiate a different arrangement before entering into the contract. We may add a 10% charge for late payment.
Payment can be made by Paypal or via international electronic bank transfer to an Australian bank account. If other options are required we will discuss them at the beginning of the project proposal before the signed agreement is made.
Intellectual property
You gain full intellectual property and reproduction rights of the project and it's content once we receive complete and final payment. We reserve the right to refer to the project and your organisation's name, and to use your logo and image examples of the final project for promotional purposes, design competitions, design publications, educational purposes and the marketing of alike creative's work on this website. Whenever we do this, we’ll attribute it to you.
Confidentiality
We will not disclose any information that you indicate is confidential. We also ask that you do not disclose any information about our pricing structure, or project documents.
Exclusion of liability
We will always endeavour to make sure that our work doesn’t infringe on any copyright or other right of a third party. You are responsible for checking the factual accuracy of the content for your project. We take pride in the quality of our work and read all copy and check over our designs carefully. However, as we often work on very technical documents and in specialised areas, we don’t guarantee that our work is free from errors. You are responsible for final approval.
Communication
We like to maintain a friendly relationship with our clients, and may add you to our email list to keep you updated on alike creative's work, as well as just check in with you from time to time. You are free to unsubscribe to any emails we send at any time, and we will not give your email address to anyone else.
We aim to work with organisations of all sizes, and when appropriate are able to
negotiate rates or ideas that work for smaller budgets.
